Reflections

With the news of the temporary hiatus of Eddie Miles, I feel compelled to reflect on the years of special memories that he has created, not only for me, but for the many audiences who have enjoyed the talent of this very special man.

He presented Elvis’ music with such class. His attire was meticulous and his voice had everyone reliving memories of the “King of Rock and Roll”. His talent is truly God given and he especially reflected it in the gospel hymns that he sang with such feeling. He never ceased to move an audience to a standing ovation.

Listening to the applause of so many folks, “first timers” and “regulars” as well, I can only express my admiration for the man who has touched so many hearts through the years.

Now he has hit a “bump” in his “road of life” and it is not the first one he has had to travel over. Just like with the others, his fans remained steadfast and greeted his return with thunderous applause. So, too, will they be waiting for his return. They will continue to revel in his talent and help introduce him to a whole new public.

I look forward to Eddie’s “Comeback Special”. In the meantime, I’m sure I speak for so many others when I say we are praying for a speedy recovery from your present medical problem.
