One Fan's Appreciation
“Thanks for
the Memories” is a song that is usually associated with the great comedian,
Bob Hope. It occurs to me that
the song is also applicable to many other persons who have touched our lives
in a special way.
I have been
acquainted with Eddie Miles and his talent for many years.
Not only does he provide first class entertainment, he is a simple
and caring person. He continues
to keep Elvis’ music alive. His
presentation of the “king” and his music is so far above the bar that other
entertainers set, you can only respond in awe.
It is a true gift to be able to touch so many people and leave an
indelible mark on them. After
each show he meets with his fans, and they know he appreciates their support
of his music.
Sitting in
his audience for many years has shown me, first hand, the influence his
music has on those who attend his concerts.
I make it a point of watching the new people who come to his shows.
Eddie asks a question of every audience, “Who has never seen me
before and who has seen me somewhere else?”
I can guarantee you by the end of the show from the applause Eddie
receives, new fans join the ranks of the “regulars” who have seen him time
and again. He can relate to
youngsters as well as the older fans, many of whom experienced Elvis in
person.
Attending one
of his concerts, is a “pick me up” everyone needs from time to time.
He does not disappoint you.
The concert ends much too quickly. Before you realize it 2 ½ hours
have flown by.
In addition
to Elvis’ music, Eddie also pays tribute to some of the greatest country
artists. His talent has no
bounds. Whether it is Conway
Twitty, Marty Robbins or Johnny Cash or any of the other country greats,
Eddie presents them with class.
When you see
that he is “coming to a theater” near you, you should treat yourself to one
of the most enjoyable evenings you will ever experience.
So Eddie
“Thank you so much for the memories!” I hope we will be experiencing
many more years of "the best" of the best.
